In the classic Rider Waite Smith tarot deck, this tarot card shows a rye blonde queen in a yellow dress sitting on a golden throne. She is a Syrian High Priestess sitting on her Lion Throne.
She wears no jewelry except for her gold crown. Queen of Wands is holding a sunflower. She is a queen of the people. Good and fair. She puts herself aside for others (no jewellery). Next to her, we see a small black cat staring at the viewer. It symbolises a more chilled energy (compared to the King of Wands who has a nimble lizard at his throne). She is not a divine queen and could easily mix with common people, but her charisma shines brightly. She leads with her heart and I think of Lady Diana (who is, however, a Cancer). In her right hand (masculine) she holds a simple wooden staff, like a Wanderer who keeps herself on the same level as the people she rules. In her left hand (feminine) the queen holds a sunflower; a symbol of food, security, community and joy. She has a wide open Heart Chakra and no Heart Wall.
Queen of Wands can be an eccentrically attractive woman with strong sexual charisma, depending entirely on the type of disposition one makes.
