In the Tarot deck, the World is card no. 21 and the last card in the Major Arcana. It symbolizes completion. The archetype exists within all of us and can be more or less visible in our lives at different times.
The card shows a naked woman with a purple scarf and two scepters in each hand. It’s the same item that the Magician is holding, but two. So she has mastered manifestation 100%. Her nakedness tells us that she has no front, but is free from any role to uphold. She dances in the sky with a wreath of laurel around her that stands for victory and perfection. In the four cardinal points are Aquarius, the Eagle (Scorpio), Leo and Taurus – all fixed zodiac signs.
Completely depending on which tarot cards are drawn around the world, the card communicates differently.
The world carries a gift. We have forgotten who we are. We are here to remember. When we begin to remember, we can step into the archetype that the World represents – your perfected self, your preconceived potential ie you have become your Higher Self.
This tarot card comes up in my layouts when something comes to a karmic end, meaning that the circle has closed. Or in a love affair, it is once again about idealizing, goal orientation, desires and dreams, for example seeing someone as unattainable. Means ending something or starting something.
All cards have their gifts and they are here to help us become aware. We must become whole and free from inner conflicts. Not until we have accepted ourselves 100% have we mastered the lessons of life.
